“Cypress Waters will have lots of great views and amenities,” Christie adds. The new plantings, gardens, and walking paths will allow residents to enjoy more of Highland Springs colorful, bucolic 89-acre campus. And almost every apartment home will have a porch, which people love!”Ĭypress Waters apartment homes will overlook a pond and freshly-landscaped grounds. “Floor plans will include one- and two-bedroom layouts, ranging from 800 square feet up to about 1,545 square feet. In the third neighborhood, we’re introducing new floor plan designs that meet the needs and preferences they expressed,” says Christie. “We’ve taken a lot of feedback from people on our priority list and applied it. Now, we’re actually here, growing to meet that increasing demand.”Ĭypress Waters will add 102 apartment homes, and the Eastside Village clubhouse will include three dozen apartment homes on its second, third, and fourth floors. “Things have been going so well for the community because there’s a real desire for the Erickson Senior Living lifestyle. “Seeing the third and final neighborhood come to life is surreal,” Christie says. Eighteen years later, that vision has become a reality, and Christie couldn’t be happier. Her office was located in the welcome center on the edge of campus, where she met with prospective residents to share the vision of a vibrant, active lifestyle.Īt the time, the idea of seeing all three planned neighborhoods complete was a dream. When Christie started working at the Erickson Senior Living community in 2005, there were no neighborhoods, no clubhouses, and no apartment homes. “We can go down a single elevator and be right there! The new woodshop will be close, and we’re excited about a new restaurant and the new reading room – and all the activities that they’ll set up there.”Īcross campus in Highland Springs’ sales office, Sales Director Christina Christie is just as excited about the new neighborhood. “Eastside Village is going to be just down the hall from us,” says Ed, who moved into the community’s first neighborhood in 2019. With north- and east-facing views from their spacious two-bedroom, two-bath apartment home, Ed Dame and his wife Jan are keeping a close eye on the progress of the new neighborhood. Well, the future has arrived! Later this year, Highland Springs will open the Eastside Village Clubhouse, along with the newest residence building, Cypress Waters – marking the community’s final development stage. When Highland Springs, the Erickson Senior Living community in North Dallas, Tex., opened in 2006, future plans to build a third neighborhood were already being envisioned.
